Furosemide
Furosemide Diuretic (generic)
Furosemide is a diuretic drug, used to prevent excessive retention of fluid. This drug prevents the absorption of chloride, sodium, potassium and water, leading to an increased volume of urine.
Furosemide is most often used in the treatment of heart failure, liver disease, and some types of kidney disease. Furosemide is also used to treat high blood pressure.
